MODERN ART DECOR
Hello guys, so recently I had to design the NIFT Bangalore as my final portfolio.
This post is about the theme, layouts, elevations, and the basic conceptualization of my design.
THEME: MODERN ART DECOR This theme includes geometric and angular forms, exotic materials, and linear decoration characterize Art Deco design. The look is strong and bold with no fussiness or romance anywhere in sight. Materials certain materials pop up again and again in art decor interior design: stainless steel, mirrors Expensive materials such as ebony, marble, and rare woods were also often used, making some Art Deco pieces accessible only to the wealthy. This theme is promoted with the in-numerous amount of paintings seen all over NIFT.
Designing The National Institute Of Fashion for a portfolio is not an easy task, as it involves ergonomics in everything with added splendor and creativity. Therefore I chose Art Decor as my theme as it is contemporary and I personally awe the paintings of this era.
Vibrant colors from Nerolac, DuPont Corian material for all the furniture and exclusive DuPont nylon (6,6) carpets are some of its key elements.
THE HIGHLIGHTS:
INSPIRATION ROOM:.
The Inspiration room is definitely an eye catcher, with its massive LED interactive display screen which is allotted the following:
Screen 1- displaying fashion shows
Screen 2 –Make up
Screen 3- live workshops.
Screen 4- 3d printers
Screen5 - Shoes
Screen 6- Accessories
Screen 7- hairstyles
Screen 8- fashion and art decor.
Screen 9- This screen basically gives you a digital makeover, wherein the person stands in front of the screen and the camera above takes a picture of the person, the person can then choose from the various clothing options sold in the boutique, try on various hairstyles, etc.
THE RESOURCE CENTER
The resource center is one of a kind with its huge LED screen wall and the extravagant variety of materials available. On one wall is the LED screen which is intern connected to the opposite wall electrically. Therefore when a person enters and clicks on the material she needs on the screen, the LED screen will display all the information about the material and to make things easier and more interesting, the material box on the opposite wall will light up.
